What is a Republican?

What does it mean to be a Republican?

Politics is at the heart of everything we do. Every facet of life from family to work environments to the church we attend has politics involved. Understanding how politics affects our lives personally is an important part of life in the United States.  Understanding our hearts and how we govern ourselves is what politics is about.

Parties, put simply, are like minded people coming together to promote a commonly believed issue. The first parties in the United States were organized early on to differentiate between Presidential candidates. From there, political parties have become organizations that best represent what you and I believe to be the best way for things to be accomplished.

Initially Republicans united in 1854 with the promise to abolish slavery. Since then the Republican Party has always stood for collective and individual freedoms, prosperity for everyone, and the opportunity to live one’s life as they choose.

Today, as those principles are under attack from the far-left liberal minded people across the State of Idaho and across the United States. We are engaged in a state and national effort to fight for our proven agenda!! We are working take our message to every American, increase the party’s influence, promote election integrity, and elect Republicans up and down the ballot. The principles of the Republican Party recognize the God-given liberties while promoting opportunity for every American.

The obvious goal of the Madison County Republican Central Committee is to get Republicans elected in local and statewide elections. From the local school board to the Governor’s office, we want our values and agenda adopted in order to build a better Idaho for everyone.
